Basic description

DEICHMANN, company based in Essen (Germany) was established in 1913 and is owned by the family of the founder. It is the largest European shoe trader and employs staff of more than 30 thousand worldwide.

DEICHMANN has its stores in Germany, Bulgaria, Denmark, Great Britain, Italy, Croatia, Lithuania, Austria, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Turkey and Hungary. Besides, the business group is represented in Switzerland (Dosenbach/Ochsner Sport), the Netherlands (vanHaren) and USA (Rack Room Shoes/Off Broadway). Portugal and Serbia will join the group in 2011.
