During whole October till mid-November, there was a sales exhibition of drawings made by children with CF disease and their friends held in Novodvorská Plaza shopping center in Prague. The exhibition culminated on November 24, on the European day for CF, by auction in Aventin Palace.

The voluntary contributions on behalf of the salt children made to the money box situated in the exhibition area amounted to CZK 4,662.- Thank you for your contributions!!

Radio Kiss 98 Christmas tree

Radio Kiss 98 listeners and OC Novodvorská Plaza customers will brighten smiles of children in children’s homes. From 27 November to 17 December 2009, OC Novodvorská Plaza will be decorated with a Christmas tree from Radio Kiss 98. Underneath you will find wishes of children from children’s homes, and anyone passing by will be able to fulfill them. Thanks to our charitable event, over 350 children unwrapped almost one thousand gifts in the total value of more than CZK 550,000. Besides children’s Christmas presents also hundreds of practical gifts went to children’s homes, which the homes are not able to purchase with their own means, such as kitchen utensils, athletic gear, board games etc.
We encourage you to support this event; there are never enough good deeds.

A little confused St. Nicolas

Come to St. Nicolas’ Day party in OC Novodvorská Plaza on Friday 4 December 2009.

We would like to invite you to a traditional St. Nicolas’s Day party full of songs, dances, contests, magic and gifts. You will enjoy performance by children from Elementary Arts School Pro Arte Viva of Prague 4, a little devil Ferda, Christmas tree and many other surprises. During the party you can turn the wheel of fortune with gifts from Mladá fronta publishing house. And of course, St. Nicolas and the Angel will come with their gifts. Tamy, an artist, will demonstrate making Christmas decorations and jewelry from materials such as glass, wire, fimo, leather or minerals. If you are interested, you can make your own decoration with her assistance. You will be able to admire original jewelry from various materials, such as healing minerals, fimo, shells, glass, wire, wood and leather. The artist shall prepare a collection of non-traditional Christmas decorations made of glass beads and wire. She will also exhibit several paintings of hers. All the original exhibits are for sale. Civic association called the “Club of Patients with Cystic Fibrosis” together with Novodvorská Plaza shopping center organize an exhibition of paintings entitled “Selling exhibition for salty children”. The exhibition starts on 12 October and will last until 20 November 2009. Visitors can have a look at paintings created by children who have cystic fibrosis and their friends. The funds obtained from the exhibition are intended for the benefit of people suffering from this illness.

Exhibition: OLD PEKING - Jiří Tondl

Novodvorská Plaza invites you to the EXHIBITION OF PHOTOGRAPHS BY JIŘÍ TONDL, member of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic, entitled OLD PEKING – life among palaces, chutungs and skyscrapers, to be held from 7 August to 4 September 2009.

Photographs by Jiří Tondl, member of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic, who lives and works in Prague 4, depicting Peking in old days, will be exhibited in the gallery of the shopping mall in August. In the time of holidays you can have a look at an interesting oriental destination. The specific feature of this exhibition is that it does not show places which can be seen from a bus window during an organized tour of the city. It will bring you to recesses, usually hidden to foreign tourists. Who else could be your guide in these places than a man who lived and worked in Peking for a long time and was able to get acquainted with it...

Exhibition - Ladislav Kulhavý

We would like to invite you to the exhibition of a painter and a fine artist Ladislav Kulhavý. The exhibition will be open from 26 June until  7 August 2009.

The painter and fine artist Ladislav Kulhavý was born in Prague in 1946. His parents came from Českomoravská vysočina and since early childhood he has always loved to return to this region.

Already at the elementary school, he showed interest in drawing and the arts. This interest has been reinforced by the fact that he had an opportunity to get acquainted with and admire the work of the academic painter professor František Nedvěd, whose art lessons he started to attend regularly. It was exactly at this time when his realistic perspective of the landscape started to form.
The depiction of the landscape became the focus of his art work. He focuses in particular on the regions of Jílovsko and Posázaví, but not forgetting about...

Výstava Inky Delevové

We would like to invite you to the exhibition of a painter, illustrator, writer, and poet Inka Delevová. The exhibition will be open until June, 25.

Inka Delevová was born in Prague Old Town (Staré Město). She studied art at a secondary art school in Prague and she took lessons in figural art from Professor V. Tittelbach at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Thanks to her family ties with academic painter A.M. Machourek, she had an opportunity to go on a study trip to Paris, where she learnt about different painting techniques.

Inka Delevová engages both in painting (landscape painting, still life and especially figural art) and in illustrating. She has illustrated well over one hundred books for adults, youth and children and she has had more than 150 individual exhibitions, among them two world exhibitions – Expo 71 in Budapest and Expo 81 in Plovdiv – as well as a number of international exhibitions. Exhibition of Petr Pačes’ illustrations and drawings

Come and see the exhibition of illustrations and drawings of artist Petr Pačes, who is known to many of you from our events as Mr. Pencil. You will be surprised by different styles of this artist. Petr Pačes’ works are intended both for children – he illustrates books, coloring books, fun worksheets, comic strips, puzzles etc. He is the illustrator of books about Indians and Eskimos written by traveler Dr. Miroslav Stingl. His big hobby is animals – topics of many drawings and book illustrations.
Children’s books, travel stories and popular literature with his illustrations were published in Germany, Italy, Russia, USA and Slovakia.
You can meet Petr Pačes in person, have a talk, get an autograph and browse through books within the framework of the Third Starry Birthday on 21 March.

Shaun Baker started to produce dance music back in 1997 and has been making his albums regularly with well known dance labels such as Alphabet City, Sushi Tunes / Ministry of Sound and A45. As a DJ he has been playing all around the world in places like Japan, Australia, Europe or South Africa.
Shaun was born in England and grew up near the York, North England. He has never been into hobbies like football, but since his early age was interested in music. He would listen to different kinds of music like rock, pop, dance, hip-hop, r’n’b’, folk, soul…. basically just any music with the right groove.

Children’s Home Krásná Lípa

Children’s Home in Krásná Lípa was founded as a legal subject organization on 1st January 1994. Children’s Home is an allowance organization whose primer goal is to take care of children who were placed there by the district court decision in preliminary court cases or for an institutional upbringing. To this organization belongs a Children’s house and catering establishment. In the home currently live 24 children between age 3 and 18 years old. Each group has up to 8 children of different age groups. Siblings are always placed together into one family group. We also have here children with certain handicaps - physically and mentally challenged boy, mentally challenged sisters and children...

Long live carnival
Saturday February 7th from 15.00 to 17.00

We would like to invite you, and especially your children, to the carnival full of dancing, singing, contests and magic, where you’ll be entertained by dancer Ferda and his Ferda Team, by clown Šikula and magician Pavel Langer. We have also prepared for your children an accompanying adventurous program. We’ll look after your children and make sure they have a lot of fun, so you could have enough time for your shopping at our Shopping Center.
In our creative workroom they can, with a little help of our assistant, make carnival masks or play with coloring books. They won’t even be short of their popular - face painting.
Babysitting service and an admission are for free.
